| Bob Dixon is a Dublin based freelance photographer who has worked on the Irish music scene for the past ten years. During this time he has built up an impressive portfolio with a huge array of Irish and international musicians. His work has been used as the artwork for live music DVD’S, albums and for promotional use for various live gigs around the country. Bob has also documented festivals such as Oxegen, Electric Picnic, The Festival of World Cultures and most recently Slane for Hotpress magazine and the Ruby Sessions Anniversary gigs. Along with getting his photography published, he has also been working on his project of Portrait photography with a view to releasing this in his first book, in association with the Barretstown charity. His panoramic work includes images, places and stories from cities all over the world including New York, Melbourne, Singapore, Poland, Austria and Paris and from music venues, historic buildings and corporate and government buildings in and around Dublin city. Bob has just been selected to exhibit in this year’s Hard Working Class Hero’s photography exhibition due to be held this coming October in Temple Bar, Dublin. . Having held numerous successful exhibitions in Dublin and a group show in Belgium, Bob is currently working on bringing his artwork around the world to exhibit his current portfolio and of course to collect and document more of the world’s beauty. |
